  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 bell peppers (1 green, 1 red)
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces bowtie pasta
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine spices for Cajun seasoning; set aside. Coat chicken or turkey with olive oil and remaining seasoning.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt half the butter and cook chicken or turkey until fully cooked; remove from skillet.
  4. Sauté diced bell peppers and onions in remaining butter with reserved seasoning until softened; add minced garlic.
