  • 1 quart oil for frying (peanut, canola, vegetable)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 23 tablespoons pumpkin puree (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream cheese dip by mixing softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and pumpkin puree until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together water, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour, granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt; mix until combined.
  3. Heat oil to 375°F in a deep fryer or skillet.
  4. Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side).
  5. Drain excess oil and toss churros in cinnamon sugar while warm.
  6. Serve hot with cream cheese dip.
