  • 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  2. Heat a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat, add the marinated chicken, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced bell peppers for about 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan and add the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, chili flakes). Stir until everything is well-coated and glossy.
  5. Serve hot over warm cooked white rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
